Christine Peters + Nina Devenney

MASTER

Christine Peters (Damariscotta, ME) is an established Maine jeweler, exhibiting and selling her work and filling custom orders throughout Maine and nationally. Peters studied sculpture at Boston University, and then gravitated toward jewelry when she moved to Maine in the mid-nineties. She continued her studies at Maine College of Art, Metalwerx, Haystack, and privately with several Maine jewelers.

“I want to share my love of making and my excitement for the craft with as many people as I can. If I can help a young artist who already knows the joys of creating and making turn these to a worthwhile and fulfilling living, that would be a fine accomplishment.” – Christine Peters

APPRENTICE

Nina Devenney (Rockland, ME) received her BFA in sculpture from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010, and in the past two years has discovered a passion for jewelry-making through courses at the Maine College of Art and the Midcoast School of Technology.

“I believe that the preservation and practice of craft is essential to our collective human soul, and I want to dedicate my career to just that.” – Nina Devenney
